Signs & Symptoms of Atopic Dermatitis

Rashes behind the knees and arms are common among infants but can appear on the face and torso. In older children, dry skin, itching, small bumps, and cracked skin are common symptoms which may appear anywhere on the body.

Causes of Atopic Dermatitis

Environmental factors are the main causes. Irritants and allergens can come from soaps, toys, carpets, etc. A family history of eczema can also significantly increase the chances of a child having eczema.

Treatments for Atopic Dermatitis

Creams and ointments are usually used, however, a consultation is required to evaluate the condition and then a treatment can be personalized for your child.
