Dear Dermcare Family,
It has been tragic seeing this virus has spread like wildfire through our community, our homes, our state and our nation. We hope wherever you are – whether at home with loved ones or on the front lines fighting pandemic- that you are staying healthy and safe. As concerns and fear over COVID-19 continue to grow, along with ongoing announcements of closures and cancellations, we would like to give you an update regarding our practice and what we are doing best to protect and care for you. Our primary focus has been to flatten the curve – we therefore are no longer providing routine care in our offices nor elective cosmetic visits per recommendations of the CDC. Instead, please visit us on Facebook, Instagram and our website, to get our latest tips on skin health during these stressful and challenging times.
However, we have some wonderful news. We have been setting up our telehealth platform, which has allowed us to connect our dermatologists from their home to your home. It’s been quite easy:
All you need is a smartphone or tablet (iphone or android) and internet access. We are using Facetime, Whatsapp and Medici to video chat. These can be downloaded from the App store or Google Play. If some of you are unfamiliar with smart phones, then we recommend that you schedule a video session when your tech-savvy loved ones are at home with you. Many of you might have spoken with your own family via Facetime. Our video chats will be very similar – now with your Dermcare family. Our website (www.dermcare.us) has videos and step by step instructions. We can even send you personalized directions straight to your email in-basket. Most insurances cover these services, and for those who no longer have insurance, we have a very affordable rate.
We are here for you if you have a new skin cancer. We have been opening our office to urgent visits for the treatment of high-risk skin cancers, including melanomas, as well as for those patients pre-screened during our telehealth visits. We have helped prevent our patients from going to the emergency room or urgent care centers by seeing you in our office. All Dermcare locations are cleaned and sanitized daily to meet CDC guidelines as part of our normal business operations and those during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Please reach out to us via our website www.dermcare.us with any skin issue you may be having. We are happy to see you right away to address your concerns. Additionally, you can call 781-431-0060 or 978-244-0060 to schedule an appointment.
We know how stressful it is and we care about all of our Dermcare family members. We are thinking of you.
